Texas Plumbing Exam Prep

Preparation for the Texas plumbing licences, administered by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners — a separate board from TDLR, with its own rules, its own reference list and its own registration process.

Journeyman and master

The journeyman exam comes after your apprenticeship hours; the master exam requires time held as a journeyman on top of that. Both test the plumbing code the state has adopted along with the Board’s own rules and law, and both are reference-dependent.

Supplied as a set

The Texas reference list runs to several books, so the kit here arrives as one order, tabbed before it ships, rather than four separate purchases you have to reconcile yourself.

Medical gas, water treatment and multipurpose residential fire sprinkler work carry separate endorsements with their own exams and references. If that is what you are sitting, tell us — the standard kit is not what you need.
